Rodale Institute, Cornwall Manor Senior Community Partner On Trailside Organic Farm In Lebanon County

The
Rodale Institute and Cornwall Manor senior community in Lebanon County are partnering to establish a 2-acre certified organic farm located adjacent to the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail on Cornwall Manor's Woods campus.

The effort is designed to increase access to healthy, local food choices for residents and to support a thriving natural environment.

All organic produce grown on the farm will be served in campus dining areas, providing fresh, nutrient-dense produce to residents to improve health, create a connection to local food, and help heal the planet.

The Cornwall Manor-Rodale Institute Trailside Organic Farm is an opportunity to combine the health benefits of organic food and farming with the improved longevity of community living.

Cornwall Manor is the first retirement community to partner with the Rodale Institute, allowing the Trailside Organic Farm to serve as a model for continuing care communities around the country.

Cornwall Manor is a 190-acre nonprofit active senior lifestyle community in Lebanon County, PA. Since 1949, Cornwall Manor has offered housing, healthcare, and services for a fulfilling retirement and aging lifestyle to seniors 60 and older.
