POWR Hosts Webinars: Nov. 12 Linking River Histories To Conservation Efforts, Nov. 23 DEP Integrated Water Quality Report, Mapping Application

The
PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers will host two more informative webinars in November starting at Noon--

-- November 12: Join POWR and your community watershed organization colleagues for a one hour exploration of why river histories matter and how they connect to current conservation efforts.

Learn how telling powerful stories highlighting the human and ecological dramas that have played out along our rivers can inspire us to continue our efforts to preserve and protect them into the future.

-- November 23: DEP staff will join us for a presentation on the 2020 Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Assessment Report which, once again, is available as an interactive web-based format.

You will also learn how to use the updated 2020 Integrated Report Viewer.   DEP’s Interactive Report Viewer allows you to zoom in on your own stream or watershed to find out how clean your stream is or if it has impaired water quality using the latest information in the draft 2020 Water Quality Report.

The combination of these two tools can help you access local water quality assessment information and make decisions about ways you can help maintain, protect, and restore those waters.

Visit POWR’s Education webpage for more information on this and past webinars, including presentation slides.
