PA Energy Development Authority To Meet Aug. 4 On 2020 PEDA Energy Development Plan

The
PA Energy Development Authority is scheduled to hold a virtual meeting on August 4 to discuss the Authority’s 2020 Energy Development Plan and the restart of a new grant solicitation round.
The Authority published a draft Energy Development Plan for public comment on November 16 and this is the first meeting since those comments were received.  Read more here.

The Plan establishes energy policy goals and allocations for financial and technical assistance to achieve the Authority’s mission.

The Authority was established in 1982 and published previous Energy Development Plans in 1984, 2008 and 2014, the last Plan adopted by the Authority.

The mission of the Authority is to provide financial and technical assistance to energy projects that will expand the market for the Commonwealth's clean and diverse energy portfolio while mitigating the impacts of climate change, improving public health and protecting the environment, and strengthening economic development.

Also on the agenda is a proposal for a Green Bank.

Individuals interested in providing public comments during the meeting must sign up prior to the start of the meeting by contacting David Althoff at dalthoff@pa.gov or 717-783-0542.
