Presentation Proposals Now Being Accepted For 2020 Watershed Congress At Montgomery County Community College March 14

The Watershed Congress Organizing Committee is now accepting proposals for presentations for the 2020 Watershed Congress Along The Schuylkill River to be held March 14 at the Pottstown Campus of Montgomery County Community College.  The deadline for submissions is November 1.
The Watershed Congress advances the best available information and techniques for protecting and restoring watersheds. 
Every year, a growing and changing group of individuals attends to gain new knowledge, acquire tools, and practice techniques that will allow them to take active roles in the stewardship of their natural resources.
Presentation topics requested by past participants include-- Watershed-wide case studies;  River recreation; Pollinators & watershed health; Dam removals; Urban stream restoration; Climate change; Bacteria; Soil health; Municipal outreach; Environmental restoration results; Plastics pollution; Cutting-edge monitoring technology; Watershed resiliency; Insects (terrestrial or aquatic); Stormwater Pollutant Reduction Plans; BMPs; Funding options; Diversity, equity, and inclusion in the environmental field; Past land use; Volunteer monitor training; PFAS; Environmental Justice; Green infrastructure; New audiences; Alternative waste/wastewater treatment; Road salt; Trees & Streams; Regional food ecosystems; Invasive species; Fracking’s health impacts; Environmental education strategies (K-12); MS4s; Fisheries; Drinking water regulations; Wellness & watersheds; Groundwater contaminant tracing; Individual/small scale actions;  Algal blooms; New communication tool; and Updates on prior sessions.
Watershed Congress Organizers will consider other suggestions.
