PSATS Accepting Workshop Proposals For Oct. 16, Nov. 14 Stormwater Conferences

The PA State Association of Township Supervisors is now accepting proposals for interactive and leading-edge workshop presentations for its upcoming 2019 Pennsylvania Stormwater Conference on October 16 in Monroeville and November 14 in Malvern.  The deadline for proposals is June 14.
The Conference offers two educational tracks for attendees, each with five presentations. A technical track for presentations that address relevant on-the-ground and in-the-field actions or practices, and a policy track that focuses on management and administration issues attendant to stormwater programs.  The selection committee is seeking workshop proposals for both tracks. Preference will be given to those presenters willing to present at both locations.
Proposals are being sought on a diverse array of related issues such as: stormwater program planning and management; protocols for developing effective BMP design, inspection, maintenance, and operation procedures; innovative stormwater management practices; implementing monitoring programs; developing community engagement practices; how to evaluate emerging technologies and dealing with extreme events; stormwater fee calculation and project development; and implementing green infrastructure and green road projects.
Other topics are welcome as well.  Click Here for a copy of the agenda for the 2018 PSATS Stormwater Conference.
The selection committee is looking for 60-minute interactive presentations (in Powerpoint, Prezi, or another format) that will help Pennsylvania municipalities with NPDES MS4 permits more effectively and efficiently comply with their permit requirements, including practices and procedures that address Pollutant Reduction Plans and TMDL plans.
All applicants will be notified of the status of their proposals by June 28. Selected presentations must be submitted to PSATS by September 20.
Questions should be directed to James Wheeler, PSATS at 717-763-0930, ext. 128 or send email to: jwheeler@psats.org.
