Controlled Plant & Noxious Weed Committee Adds Tree Of Heaven, Invasive Species To Noxious Weed List

The Department of Agriculture’s Controlled Plant and Noxious Weed Committee published notice in the June 1 PA Bulletin it has added the tree of heaven, a haven for the spotted lanternfly, to the Class B Noxious Weed list.
Being on the Class B Noxious Weed list authorizes the Department of Agriculture to take action to eradicate injurious infestations and prevent sales.
Also added or maintained on the Class A list were--
-- European frogbit (Hydrocharis morsus-ranae)European water chestnut (Trapa natans)
-- Water primrose (Ludwigia grandiflora ssp. hexapetala)
-- Hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata) remains
