Capitolwire.com Tuesday reported Senate, House Republican leaders are again taking a “no new taxes” and “no new spending” approach to the FY 2019-20 budget ahead of TODAY’s mid-year budget report by the Department of Revenue at 11:00 and the Governor’s February 5 budget address.
They point out state revenues are $1 billion ahead of last year at this time, but acknowledge that filling the Independent Fiscal Office’s projected $1.5 to $1.7 billion FY 2019-20 structural deficit will be “absolutely difficult.”
