Sustainable Energy Fund Wednesday announced it will offer 150 scholarships totaling $150,000 to cover the cost of students and educators planning to attend Energypath 2016. June 30 is the deadline for applications.
Also available are pre-conference Energy Camps to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of sustainable energy technologies.
Energypath 2016 is the premier conference on renewable energy will be held at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Centre County, from July 25 to July 29.
Scholarships
Each scholarship covers up to $1,000 for the recipients’ registration for the conference, exposition, science fair and pre-conference keynote dinner.
“Energypath is the largest sustainable energy conference in Pennsylvania, attracting thought leaders, innovators, students, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. This conference brings them together to discuss and share technologies and strategies that have positive environmental and economic impacts for businesses and families,” said John Costlow, president and CEO of SEF.
Scholarships are available for college students, secondary educators and college professors. Recipients will be housed in Pennsylvania State University campus dormitories and provided meals from Monday breakfast through Friday lunch.
“These scholarships will subsidize the costs of Energypath for those who may not be able to attend otherwise,” Costlow said. “We want to make sure that we provide people access to the kind information that could lead to the next big idea or development in sustainable energy.”
