PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - April 5

The following notices were published in the April 5 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- The US Environmental Protection published notice it will hold a May 6 virtual hearing [if requested] on a proposed underground oil and gas wastewater injection well for enhanced recovery of oil and gas owned by Sandstone Development, LLC in Cyclone, Lafayette Township, McKean County. -- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the April 5 PA Bulletin announcing an April 24 hearing on a series of water withdrawal requests, including renewal of two shale gas water projects in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties.  Read more here.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection said during an April 1 webinar it would be using a new General Air Quality Permit to implement the new federal oil and gas facility methane reduction requirements for conventional oil and gas and shale gas wells and infrastructure. [Not in PA Bulletin] Read more here.

-- Monroe Energy, LLC - Trainer Refinery East West Pipe Rack Process Sewer Release: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with organics to meet the Statewide Health Standard at the facility located in Trainer Borough, Delaware County. (PA Bulletin, page 2669)

-- Sunoco Pipeline, LP - Tinicum Release Site: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with unleaded gasoline located inTinicum Twp., Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2670)

-- Consol Energy, LLC - Conventional Well 1484: DEP issued a Technical Deficiency Letter on the Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with organic compounds related to crude oil to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the well located in Morris Twp., Greene County.
