Appalachian Voices: Tell Congress To Preserve Federal Funding For Rural Communities

Appalachian Voices warns funding for programs that help hardworking rural Americans thrive is at risk! Soon, Congress will vote on sweeping cuts to vital community programs to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations.

Some of the proposed cuts include:

-- Clean energy tax credits that spur new reliable and affordable energy development and jobs

-- Environmental justice programs that support pollution clean up & economic development in rural, low-income and other marginalized communities

-- Clean energy & energy efficiency programs that create jobs and lower electricity bills in rural communities

-- Programs and funds to clean up pollution

Click Here to use the Appalachian Voices toolkit  to contact your members of Congress today and tell them to oppose these spending cuts!
