French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust, Bob & Shelley Casciato Partner To Preserve 10.4 Acres In Chester County

On December 9, the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust announced the donation of a conservation easement by Bob and Shelley Casciato, securing the lasting protection of their 10.4-acre property in West Vincent Township, Chester County.

The Casciatos were partners in two prior easements with the 16 Years, LLC company and 18 Years, LLC company projects, bringing the total contiguous acreage conserved to nearly 170.

Located along St. Matthews Road, this property features open fields and wooded habitat for migrating birds and other wildlife, providing unobstructed views from the roadway.

“This easement marks the 200th for French & Pickering, a truly significant accomplishment. Bob and Shelley have been long-time supporters of the Trust and have been instrumental in land protection efforts for decades. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with them once again on such an important project,” said Pam Brown, Senior Conservation Advisor for French & Pickering.

French & Pickering is deeply appreciative of the Casciatos’ generosity in enabling the permanent preservation of this exceptional piece of northern Chester County countryside.

Since 1967, the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust has protected more than 13,600 acres in northern Chester County through purchases, conservation easements and public/private partnerships. 

The nonprofit organization works with landowners, townships, foundations and the state and county to purchase and monitor conservation easements, create parkland, and preserve environmentally sensitive land.
