The Department of Environmental Protection has scheduled three in-person and one virtual public input sessions to gather comments on how it should develop federally-funded PA Home Energy Rebate Programs
DEP is trying to attract residents, HVAC contractors, and multifamily building owners to these sessions.
DEP is asking for your input as we develop our PA Home Energy Rebate Programs, including Home Efficiency Rebates, as well as Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates.
The rebate programs will discount income-eligible Pennsylvania residents for high-efficiency home appliances and equipment and fund energy efficiency improvements to single- and multifamily homes.
DEP administers these rebate programs via funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Depending on income eligibility, rebates can be used for heat pumps, electrical panel upgrades, electric stoves, and weatherization.
These rebates can also be combined with existing Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) tax incentives. Rebates can apply to both residential and multifamily housing.
As a part of our engagement process, DEP will conduct information sessions to convene with the public, discuss the development of the rebate programs, and incorporate your feedback.
Your input and questions will be valuable in helping plan and implement these programs. All sessions are open to the public, and prior registration is encouraged but not required.
DEP invites you to attend one of the engagement sessions--
-- October 15: 6 PM: Brady Fire Company, 700 Maple Street, Ranshaw, Northumberland County. Register now.
