The advisory is an industry-wide resource to a variety of disaster-related programs, funding and more of value no matter where someone is in the Agriculture Industry and no matter what kind of disaster has occurred, according to Phillips.
USDA has also created a Disaster Resource Center as a central source of information utilizing a searchable knowledge base of disaster-related resources powered by agents with subject matter expertise.
USDA also developed a disaster assistance discovery tool specifically targeted to rural and agricultural issues.
The tool walks producers through five questions that generate personalized results identifying which USDA disaster assistance programs can help them recover from a natural disaster.
