The presentation will be followed by a Q+A moderated by Rodale Institute CEO Emeritus Jeff Moyer.
This one-of-a-kind event features Will Harris, a sixth-generation farmer and the visionary behind White Oak Pastures, a 3,200-acre zero-waste production farm in Bluffton, Georgia that raises 10 species of livestock without steroids, antibiotics or growth hormones.
Will is known worldwide as a leader in regenerative agriculture, and is frequently featured on podcasts, magazines and news stories.
He is also the subject of the short film One Hundred Thousand Beating Hearts.
Will’s presentation, based on his new book, A Bold Return to Giving a Damn: Our Farm, Six Generations, and the Future of Food, will highlight his remarkable journey from industrialized farming to “Radically Traditional Farming,” and what he has learned along the way.
Known for his engaging Southern style, Harris will discuss his commitment to regenerative agriculture, humane animal management and fair treatment of farm workers, all aimed at a farming system that leaves the land, and it’s people, better than it started.
Following Will’s presentation, Jeff Moyer, Rodale Institute CEO Emeritus will join him on stage to facilitate “a conversation among farmers” followed by an audience Q+A..
With over four decades of experience and a global reputation for leadership in regenerative organic farming, Jeff will facilitate a thought-provoking conversation you won’t want to miss.
