Franklin County Starting Volunteer Stream Team For Water Quality Monitoring; Info Session Sept. 10; Training Oct. 5

Sign up for the
Franklin County Stream Team Online Information Session on September 10 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and learn how you can monitor streams in your community.

Volunteer based stream monitoring is a vital tool to evaluate the health of local watersheds. With your help, we can continue to ensure clean water in Franklin County.

The Franklin County Conservation District partnered with the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM) to create a Stream Team.

The Stream Team will consist of volunteers who will conduct chemical and biological stream monitoring.

This includes water temperature, conductivity, nitrate-nitrogen, pH, stage and water clarity, and conduct biological (macroinvertebrate) and visual assessments of their assigned streams.
