The event will be held from 8:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Vincent DiFilippo Nature Preserve in Mechanicsburg.

There will be six learning stations that students will move through to collect data on water quality and biodiversity. They will also be in the creek looking for aquatic macroinvertebrates.

Students will be conducting a fish survey, identifying plant species, documenting reptiles and amphibians, as well as assisting with maintenance of a riparian buffer planting.

Through their Bioblitz experience, the students will investigate the health of local waterways and build a critical connection to the natural world in which they live that will motivate their decision-making as they develop into citizens and future leaders in Pennsylvania.
