There are a wide array of career pathways that lead to Pennsylvania’s solar industry, and a growing number of workforce development programs to keep pace with the fastest growing sector of Pennsylvania’s sustainable energy economy.
Whether it’s in project development and installation, manufacturing, wholesale trade and distribution, sales and administration, or operations and maintenance, solar workforce development programs are aiming to attract the diverse and passionate talent needed to meet the demand of solar opportunities.
In addition, the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offers some benefits that require compliance with the apprenticeship provisions.
The webinar will include the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers to talk about their apprenticeship programs and world-class training facilities and the Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Clean Energy Center to discuss the many training programs and certifications offered for residential, commercial, or other industry segments.
Participants will hear from other institutions offering much needed workforce development programs, as more sustainable energy opportunities have been unlocked by the transformative impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act.
