PA Resources Council Hosts Backyard Composting Workshop March 23 In Delaware County

The
Pennsylvania Resources Council will host a FREE Backyard Composting Workshop on Saturday, March 23, in Upland Park in Delaware County.

The 90-minute workshop will take place on from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Redwoods Center in Upland Park, 280 6th St, Brookhaven, PA.

The first 30 individuals to register for the workshop will receive a FREE 82-gallon composting bin (one per household).

This project is funded by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Healing the Planet Grant Program with support from The GIANT Company.

Participants will learn about the importance and benefits of composting, the process, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance, and ways of using finished compost.

By composting, individuals can expand their recycling efforts to include food scraps and yard debris.
