PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/Opportunities To Comment - September 23

The following DEP notices were published in the
September 23 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- On September 14, the Susquehanna River Basin Commission approved eight shale gas drilling water withdrawals-- 1 in Exceptional Value Loyalsock Creek-- in Bradford, Lycoming, Potter, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming countiesRead more here.


-- On September 23, the Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the PA Bulletin the Executive Director gave his approval to 34 water use permits for individual shale gas well drilling pads in Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Tioga countiesRead more here.


Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- PennEnergy Resources LLC - McElhinny Shale Gas Well Pad:  DEP approve a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with Aluminum, Barium, Boron, Chloride, Iron, Lithium, Manganese, Selenium, Strontium, Vanadium and Zinc for the pad located in Foster Twp., Butler County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5993)

-- Snyder Brothers, Inc. - Cottage Hill Compressor Station: DEP approved an Air Quality Plan Approval for the facility located in Porter Twp., Clarion County.   (PA Bulletin, page 5994)

-- Diversified Production, LLC - Dilltown Compressor Station: DEP approved an Air Quality Plan Approval for the facility located in Buffington Twp., Indiana County.   (PA Bulletin, page 5994)

-- Texas Eastern Transmission - Bechtelsville Facility: DEP issued a change to a Title V Air Quality Permit to incorporate a new Plan Approval for the facility located in Washington Twp., Bucks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5997)

-- CNX Gas Company: DEP invites comments on a Chapter 102 permit for a project impacting Dunkard Fork in Richhill Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5973)
