Schuylkill River Cleanup Attracts Over 100 Volunteers In Montgomery County

A Schuylkill River Cleanup on August 26 organized by the new nonprofit
Save The Schuylkill attracted over 100 volunteers to clean up trash and debris that filled two dumpsters, including 80 tires.

The cleanup took place between Lock 60 and Port Providence near Phoenixville in Montgomery County.

This cleanup is a partnership between Save the Schuylkill, Litter Lifters of West Vincent Township and Green Valleys Watershed to mobilize resources and volunteers.

Save the Schuylkill was founded by a group of kayak and paddle board enthusiasts who relish the beauty of the river and are dedicated to improving our environment.
