Funding Now Available For Energy Efficiency, Farm Conservation Projects Thru DEP’s Small Business Advantage Grant Program

The Department of Environmental Protection is now accepting applications for $1 million in
Small Business Advantage Grants to support energy efficiency and farm conservation projects.  The deadline for applications is March 22.  (formal notice)

The Program is a first-come, first-served grant program that provides matching grants, ranging from a maximum of 50% or $5,000, up to 80% or $8,000, whichever is less. Maximum funding will vary based on project location and environmental impact.

Eligible projects must save the small business a minimum of $500 per year and at least 20% in annual energy consumption or pollution-related expenses.

Natural resource protection projects are exempt from the minimum cost savings requirements but may need to meet minimum pollution reduction goals; projects must provide enough information to allow quantification of the sediment and nutrient diversion from the directly related receiving waterway to be eligible.

For all the details, visit DEP’s Small Business Advantage Grants webpage.  Questions should be directed to DEP's Small Business Ombudsman Office, RA-epAdvantageGrant@pa.gov or (717) 783-9640.
