The proposed Orville Higinbotham #1 injection well is to be used for the disposal of produced fluids associated with oil and gas production.
The draft permit will allow G2 STEM to inject produced fluids into the Balltown Sandstone Formation in the subsurface interval between approximately 3,407 feet to 3,417 feet below ground surface.
The action follows a July 11 hearing where residents and Fayette County commissioners expressed significant opposition to the proposed injection well. Read more here.
