Rodale Institute Annual Organic Field Day To Be Held July 21 At Kutztown, Berks County Campus

Rodale Institute’s
Annual Organic Field Day, which draws hundreds of visitors each year to Kutztown, Berks County, is slated to take place on July 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

During the event, farmers, policymakers, and members of the public will explore the Institute’s nearly 400-acre research farm and learn about state-of-the-art practices and equipment used in organic crop management. 

Guests will also speak directly with renowned experts on topics related to regenerative organic agriculture, including protective measures against extreme weather events, soil health, composting, and crop nutrient density variations. 

Rodale Institute’s CEO Emeritus, Jeff Moyer, will present on the topic of organic no-till practices. 

Moyer, inventor of the revolutionary roller crimper tractor attachment, will also sign copies of his much-celebrated book “Roller/Crimper No-Till: Advancing No-Till Agriculture.” 

Field Day will also feature networking opportunities and an exhibitor booth area which will highlight over 20 of Rodale Institute’s partner organizations. 

Exhibitors will engage attendees about programming, projects, and opportunities for collaboration.

Farm attire, sun protection gear, and refillable water bottles are encouraged. 

Food will be available to purchase on-site from Dundor & Heister, Kutztown Pub, Blendlife, and Bananarama.
