EPA Issues Permit For Class IID Oil & Gas Waste Underground Injection Well In Jefferson County

On June 21, the U.S. Environmental Protection agency posted a notice announcing it has issued a permit for a Class IID oil and gas waste underground injection well in Young Township, Jefferson County known as the David A. Weaver #1 disposal well.

The permit was issued to G2 STEM LLC based in Fairfax, Virginia.  The permit is effective on July 25, 2023.

Those parties that commented during the Public Comment period have the opportunity to appeal the final permit to the EPA Environmental Appeals Board.
