PA Resources Council, Partners To Host Traveling Glass Recycling Bins In Western PA Starting Feb. 11

The
PA Resources Council will launch its 2023 Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program February 11 at Boyce Park in Allegheny County.

This innovative program provides residents with a higher quality glass recycling option than typical curbside programs, ensuring that glass deposited into the bin meets the highest standards and can be fully recycled.

The locations for PRC Traveling Glass Recycling Bin weeklong engagements scheduled so far include--

-- February 11-16: Boyce Park, Allegheny County

-- April 15-20: Settlers Cabin, Allegheny County

-- April 29 - May 4: Hermitage, Mercer County

-- May 20-25: Round Hill Park, Allegheny County

-- June 3-8: Deer Lakes Park, Allegheny County

-- June 17-22: Findlay Township, Allegheny County

-- July 8-13: Hartwood Acres, Allegheny County

-- September 9-14: White Oak Park, Allegheny County

-- September 30 - Oct. 5: Hermitage, Mercer County

-- October 7-12: North Park, Allegheny County

-- October 28 - Nov. 2: Findlay Township, Allegheny County

-- November 11-16: South Park, Allegheny County.

Individuals can drop off glass bottles, jars and jugs of all colors (no color sorting required).  Containers should be empty and rinsed, with lids and labels still on.  Bags and boxes used to deliver glass must be discarded off-site.
