GAPS Program Now Accepting Applications For Assistance To Develop Stream Remediation Projects In Allegheny, Monongahela River Watersheds

The
Generating Awareness For Project Success (GAPS) Program, a collaboration between the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds and Three Rivers QUEST with support from the Colcom Foundation, is accepting applications for assistance in developing stream remediation projects.

Utilizing field teams and researchers, 3RQ will provide watershed groups with the information and technical expertise needed to prepare successful proposals that secure funding for the engineering and construction of nonpoint source remediation projects.

Four to six groups will be selected for assistance. Assistance will be tailored to each awardee based on the needs of the organization and the specific needs of the project.

Assistance available includes paying analytical costs, coordinating with analytical laboratories, deploying data loggers, setting up weirs or other flow measurement structures, assisting with data management and analysis, and providing general support for securing funding for the engineering and construction of remediation projects.

Not sure if you qualify? Please reach out to rachel.spirnak@mail.wvu.edu or fill out an application and they will contact you directly.
