Passive Houses require very little energy to achieve a comfortable temperature year round, making conventional heating and air conditioning systems obsolete.
While delivering superior levels of comfort, the Passive House Standard also protects the building structure.
Six&Kane purchased the building at 63 N. Fraley Street in Kane and after three years and a global pandemic finished retrofitting it to meet Passive House standards.

The first day will be a virtual day featuring guests, including the tradespeople, architects, designers, planners, partners, and project leaders who brought Six&Kane to life. You'll learn about the project's impact on the community, including inspiring rural investment and the work of the PA Wilds.

The second day is an onsite activity at Six&Kane and includes a ‘Storytelling Theater’, a walk down memory lane with citizens from our region, live building tours, lunch with the tradespeople who brought the building back to life, conversations on community investment, the work of the PA Wilds and more.
