Each year, we will come together at a Foundation-conserved property for a project that is tied to the long-term health and resilience of the forest.
This year’s work will take place at Moxie Woods near Greenville, Mercer County.
The Foundation is in the midst of conducting significant understory management there to address the presence of invasive plant species. With your help, we will enhance these efforts by cleaning up an old farmstead site at Moxie Woods.
The Foundation will supply the necessary tools and supplies to get the job done, but you are also encouraged to bring your own tools, work gloves, etc. Dress for the weather, but also for brambles, muddy terrain, etc.
Lunch, beverages, and snacks will be provided. There will be a bathroom facility on site.
Jim Finley Stewardship Day will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moxie Woods.
The Foundations requests that you RSVP for this event, so that we can plan the projects and tools according to the group size.
