DEP Posted 61 Pages Of Permit-Related Notices In August 13 PA Bulletin; Cleanup Report From Callon (Marcellus) LLC Well Pad, Wyoming County

Highlights of the environmental and energy notices in the latest PA Bulletin-- 

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin inviting comments on proposed mass certification of nutrient credits from significant sewage point source discharges in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

DEP published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin of hearings to be held on changes to the underground mining acreage and subsidence control plans for two Consol Mines In Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5006)

The hearing on the Enlow Fork Mine covers an expansion into Morris and Washington Townships, Greene County will be held September 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The present mine is located in Richhill Township.

The hearing on the Harvey Mine covers an expansion into Franklin, Morris and Center Townships, Greene County will be held September 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The present mine is located in Richhill Township.

Individuals who wish to participate and ask questions during the IPC must contact community relations coordinator Lauren Fraley at lfraley@pa.gov  or call (412-442-4203) a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the event to reserve a time to present testimony. 

Individuals who register for the event will receive an email containing the link and instructions on how to join the virtual IPC.

Oil & Gas Facility Cleanup Under DEP Land Recycling Program--

-- Callon (Marcellus) LLC - Yarsavage Well Pad - Final Report on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with frac flowback fluid (brine) in Washington Twp., Wyoming County (PA Bulletin, page 4991)


DEP published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin of changes to the list of companies certified to perform radon-related activities.  (PA Bulletin, page 5007)


The Public Utility Commission published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin of proposed rulemaking related to certification of water and wastewater utility acquisitions for public comment.


The Department of Agriculture published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin that 3 new noxious weeds have been added to the noxious weed list by the Controlled Plant and Noxious Weed Committee.


The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin prohibiting hunting with firearms in Nockamixon State Park, Bucks County; Marsh Creek State Park, Chester County; Evansburg State Park, Montgomery County; White Clay Creek Preserve, Chester County.
