On the way, people of diverse faiths, students, elders, Vanguard customers, and other partners will visit local areas already impacted by climate change and protest at Chase Bank, a major funder of fossil fuel companies, in which Vanguard is a top shareholder.
EQAT is working in collaboration with local organizations like Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living, Exodus Alliance, and Eastwick Friends and Neighbors Coalition.
On Earth Day-- April 22-- we will end with an action including civil disobedience at Vanguard Headquarters.
EQAT is demanding that Vanguard vote for climate-friendly shareholder resolutions in the short run, and over time, move its investments out of fossil fuel and forest-destroying companies, if those firms don't come up with a plan to transition out of climate destruction.
