Senate Democratic Policy Committee Jan. 28 Hearing On $300 Million Anthracite Ridge Wind Farm In Schuylkill County

On January 28, Senate Democratic Policy Chair Katie Muth (D-Chester) will join Senator John Kane (D-Chester) to host a virtual public hearing on the proposed Anthracite Ridge Wind Farm Project in Schuylkill County. 

The $300 million privately funded project is estimated to create 300 family-sustaining, union jobs throughout construction and return an abandoned mine to the tax rolls. 

The project could serve as a perfect example of how alternative energy and the building trades can work together for a better, cleaner Pennsylvania as we enter the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
