The Department of Agriculture announced it will begin accepting applications for Soil Health Education Grants starting January 3 through February 28. (formal notice)
The program provides mini grants to eligible county farmland preservation boards to help maintain the long-term economic viability of farms and protect the investment of public funds in preserving farms that are subject to perpetual agricultural conservation easements by providing funds for soil health education and outreach efforts.
The Department has $10,000 available for this program and individual grants cannot exceed $1,000.
