Join the conversation with Adam Waterbear DePaul, a member of Tribal Council and Storykeeper of the Lenape Nation of PA, who will provide an overview of the history of the Lenape people, discuss the Lenape's pathway to state recognition, and also talk about how conservation and environmental stewardship plays a role the Lenape culture.
Lenapehoking means the place where Lenape come from, which spans from eastern Pennsylvania and the Hudson Valley to Delaware, with Manhattan at its center.
He will also be touching on their contemporary environmental initiatives, including their upcoming Rising Nation River Journey in 2022.
