The Independent Regulatory Review Commission is scheduled to meet September 1 on the regulation.
Democrats on the Committee supported the Carbon Pollution Reduction Program and Sen. Carolyn Comitta, Minority Chair of the Committee, has introduced legislation-- Senate Bill 15-- to use funds generated by the program to help workers and communities transition to the clean energy economy, help environmental justice areas and promote energy efficience and clean energy. On July 13, the Environmental Quality Board, which adopts all of DEP’s regulations, voted 15 to 4 to approve the final Carbon Pollution Reduction Program regulation. Read more here.
