Provide nectar and host plants for butterflies and other beneficial pollinators this summer with a Pollinator Container Garden Kit to Go.
Kit pick-up is on June 26, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the back parking lot of the Penn State Extension office in Cumberland County at 310 Allen Road in Carlisle.
Each kit contains a 14-inch container, potting soil, and a set of nectar and larval host plants including parsley, pentas, lantana, and other flowering annuals and herbs.
Educational materials are also included in each kit for residents to learn about pollinators and the best plants for attracting butterflies and other pollinating insects to your garden.
Each kit costs $20.00 and includes all supplies and materials to ensure the success of your container.
