The Southwest PA Air Quality Partnership and PA Resources Council are extending the deadline for teachers to participate in the Let’s Clear the Air Student Poster Challenge to March 22.
The challenge encourages students in Southwestern Pennsylvania to learn about the effects of air pollution, how to reduce their exposure, and to encourage action through a poster campaign promoting clean air and alternative transportation.
All schools (public, parochial and private schools) in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties are eligible to participate.
Prizes include $250 gift cards for top winning students and $100 gift cards for their teachers to purchase school supplies.
Student entries are due April 22.
