Berks County-based Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is now accepting registrations for its popular summer camp programs for students in grades 1 to 6 and for teen camp counselors.
Hawk Mountain offers a series of eight week-long camps for students in Grades 1-3, and eight week-long camps for students in Grades 4-6.
The Summer Nature Camps get students outdoors, developing a deeper connection with the natural world through fun and educational activities.
Meeting live animals, hiking woodland trails, role-playing, crafting and making art, learning from scientists, exploring natural areas, telling and listening to stories, and conducting experiments are just a few things filling the campers’ days.
A Counselor in Training Program is also available for students 14 to 17 years old to provide leadership training and experience in assisting Hawk Mountain staff with campers and activities.
