Comments Invited On Draft Southwestern PA Water Network Vision/Purpose/Goals

The Water Center at the University of Pennsylvania is inviting comments on a draft Southwestern PA Water network vision, purpose and goals statement from local stakeholders.  The deadline for comments is December 18.

Over the past few months, the Water Center at Penn has been working with a diverse group of Southwestern PA Water Stakeholders to develop a draft vision, purpose and set of goals for a SW PA Water Network.

This draft has been heavily informed by broader outreach and conversations we have had with hundreds of people in the region over the past year.

Once the Center has everyone's feedback, they will work to incorporate perspectives into revised vision, purpose and goals that better reflect all regional perspectives.

Shortly thereafter, they will share both the revised language, as well as a consolidated document containing everyone's verbatim survey feedback.

The Center plans to hold a stakeholder meeting early in the new year to engage with Southwestern Pennsylvania stakeholders.

The western one-third of Pennsylvania forms the headwaters of the Ohio River Watershed, including the Allegheny and Monongahela river watersheds.
