The Center for the Environment at Westminster College in Lawrence County and the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition will co-host a virtual Student Symposium On The Environment November 30 to December 2 to showcase research posters, oral presentations and artwork on the environment by high school through graduate school students.
For this year’s event, which will be virtual rather than in-person, student submissions will be in the format of a 2-3 minute video.
A dedicated YouTube channel will house the video showcase, using the comments feature to encourage dialog between the viewers and student presenters.
Viewers help choose the winners. To vote, watch, comment, like and share videos.
Live Event
Select student presenters, including viewer choice awardees, will have the opportunity to give a brief presentation of their work during the live, virtual event on Zoom on December 3, 2020 at 7:00 to 8:00 p.m..
All submissions will be evaluated by volunteer judges, and cash prizes will be awarded in multiple categories during the live, virtual event.
The public is welcome to attend the Zoom event. Individuals must request access by emailing: env@westminster.edu.
