EQB Considers Proposed Rule Eliminating Stage II Vapor Controls At Gasoline Stations May 19

The Environmental Quality Board holds a virtual meeting May 19 to consider a proposed regulation to remove Stage II vapor controls at gasoline and add vapor leak monitoring requirements for small gasoline storage tanks.
The Stage II vapor controls are no longer needed because vehicles are now equipped with onboard refueling vapor recovery systems.
The regulation would apply to the five-county Philadelphia area-- Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties-- and the seven- county Pittsburgh area--  Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
The instructions for joining the virtual meeting are on the EQB webpage.  The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m.
