On April 24, the Department of Environmental Protection posted Guidelines on the Emergency Land Application of Milk to help address the need to manage excess milk as a result of market and supply chain disruptions.
The temporary suspension of certain manure and waste land application regulations authorized by Gov. Wolf on April 17 will expire on June 1 [unless extended].
Land application of milk is typically done under the Manure Management or Nutrient Management Plans maintained by farms.
