Dept. Of Health Reports 4 New Deaths From COVID-19, Total 38; Total Cases 3,394

On March 29, the Department of Health reported four more Pennsylvanians have died from COVID-19 bringing the statewide total to 38.

As of 12:00 a.m. March 29, there were 643 additional positive cases of COVID-19 since yesterday, bringing the statewide total to 3,394 in 58 counties. 

County-specific information and a statewide map are available.

There are 30,061 patients who have tested negative to date. Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

-- Less than 1 percent are aged 0-4;

-- Less than 1 percent are aged 5-12;

-- 1 percent are aged 13-18;

-- 10 percent are aged 19-24;

-- 41 percent are aged 25-49;

-- Nearly 27 percent are aged 50-64; and

-- 19 percent are aged 65 or older.

Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. There have been no pediatric deaths to date. More data is available here.
