Friends Of Allegheny Wilderness: Advocate For Preserving Wilderness In Warren County

Friends of Allegheny Wilderness is encouraging the public to participate in an initiative by Warren County seeking public input about outdoor recreation opportunities in the county.
FAW believes this presents another great opportunity to advocate that all qualifying portions of the Allegheny National Forest be permanently protected from all forms of development under the Wilderness Act of 1964.
As you work your way through the survey, please do so with an eye toward advocating forest preservation, wildlife habitat protection, open space preservation, watershed protection, and the like.
It is also important to advocate against more developed recreation, commercialization, mountain biking on hiking trails (Jakes Rocks, the existing ATV trails, and logging roads are all more than sufficient for that activity), and the like wherever the opportunity to do so presents itself in the survey.
Utilize the spaces where you can type in your own thoughts to emphasize that spectacular wild, untrammeled areas of the Allegheny National Forest in Warren County such as--
...all will be designated as wilderness areas under the Wilderness Act of 1964 soon.
The whole survey will probably only take you ten or fifteen minutes to complete
The FAW thanks you for helping to protect wilderness in Pennsylvania’s only national forest!
