The Fish and Boat Commission is now accepting applications for State Wildlife Grants. The deadline for submissions is February 19.
The priority topic for the project will help support Pennsylvania's amphibian and reptile Species of Greatest Conservation Need found in the 2015-2025 Pennsylvania Wildlife Action Plan.
Federal dollars for this program are awarded to the PFBC by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through the State Wildlife Grants Program. Awarding funds for selected projects will be contingent upon availability of funds, as well as satisfactory completion of USFWS, PFBC and Commonwealth applications, compliance documents and other requirements.
The PFBC anticipates final selection of projects by early-to-mid March 2020.
Interested applicants with questions about the project should contact Chris Urban, Chief, Natural Diversity Section at 814-359-5113 or send email to: curban@pa.gov. Questions should be directed to Diana Day, Conservation Coordinator at 717-346-8137 or send email to: diday@pa.gov.
For more information and an application packet, visit the State Wildlife Grant Program webpage. The description of the 2019-2020 priority topic, application and budget file are listed under "SWG Call-for-Projects."
