PennFuture and the Climate Reality Project will host an education forum on November 20 in Harrisburg for central Pennsylvanians who want to learn about steps they can take to reduce climate impacts on their communities.
The program is part of the global 24 Hours Of Reality Campaign.
PennFuture’s Board Chair, Char Magaro, will present “The History, Science, and Solutions to the Climate Crisis,” followed by a panel discussion about it. Then, attendees will have the opportunity to network with local environmental advocacy organizations.
The panelists include:
-- Jacquelyn Bonomo, President and C.E.O., PennFuture
-- Brook Lenker, Executive Director, FracTracker Alliance
-- Josh McNeil, Executive Director, Conservation Voters of PA
-- Behzad Zandieh, Chapter Leader, Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light - Harrisburg Chapter
-- Natasha Sood, M.P.H., Second-year medical student, Penn State College of Medicine
The Forum will be held at the Dixon University Center, 2986 N. 2nd Street in Harrisburg from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available on 2nd Street and at Dixon University Center’s parking garage.
