Westmoreland Green Gathering Sept. 22: Changes In Curbside Recycling In Westmoreland County

Natalie Reese, Program Director of Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling, will help demystify the “do’s” and “don’ts” of recycling at the next Green Gathering, on September 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Major Stokes restaurant, 108 West Pittsburgh Street in Greensburg.
Confused about what to put in your recycling can?  You have good reason to be! The rules have been changing, and not everything that once could be recycled, still can.
Attend the Green Gathering and find out more.
The event is sponsored by the Greensburg Group of Ten and is open to the public, free of charge.  Green Gathering will also feature live music, and light snacks will be provided.
Attendees have the option of purchasing additional food and drinks at the venue,, Major Stokes, the only restaurant in Westmoreland County to earn a Gold Level designation as a Sustainable Pittsburgh restaurant.
Group of Ten is an initiative of the Clean Air Council, and the Green Gathering is a chance to meet with others who care about our environment, exchange ideas, and find ways to insure a sustainable future.
