With winter weather just around the corner, the Pike County Conservation District is hosting a free Road Maintenance Workshop on October 7, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, at the Palmyra Township Building, 115 Buehler Lane, in Paupack.
The event is geared toward municipal and community association staff who are responsible for maintaining local roadways. It is also open to the general public.
The workshop will begin with coffee, donuts, and exhibitors, and will conclude with a raffle.

Pike County Conservation District’s Chris Ingulli, who administers the Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road Program, will be available to speak with municipal officials about grants to implement environmentally sensitive road maintenance practices that reduce long-term maintenance costs as well as the impacts of road runoff and sediment to local streams.
