Personal Memories Of Sept. 11, 2001 And What Came After -- David Hess, Fmr Secretary Of DEP

We all remember where we were and what we were doing on September 11, 2001, but the employees of the Department of Environmental Protection remember better than most because they played a key role in responding to the Somerset County crash site of Flight 93.
For the first time, I decided to put down my own personal memories of that day and what followed from my vantage point as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection.
Personal Memories - September 11, 2001 and What Came After goes into more detail about how DEP responded to those horrific events, the issues we had and how very proud I was and am of the way our staff handled the challenges.
Memories also shares a small photo album, with some of my own photos, and links to the archived DEP webpage posted at the time to provide information to the public and our own staff on how the agency was responding.
As you recall your own memories, I am pleased to be able to share mine.
