DCNR Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council To Review Preliminary State Parks For All Plan Oct. 2

The DCNR Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council is scheduled to meet on October 2 to review and consider recommendations on the preliminary State Parks - Penn’s Parks For All Plan along with other invited stakeholders.
After two years of collecting and analyzing data from surveys, interviews and research on how DCNR should run Pennsylvania’s award-winning State Park system for the next 25 years, DCNR has developed a preliminary Parks For All Plan.
Paul Zeph, from DCNR’s Bureau of State Parks, will present key findings and recommendations from the preliminary plan, and facilitate a discussion to collect feedback.
The format of this Council meeting will be a little different than others.  Most of the meeting will be spent in breakout groups with stakeholders so their comments can be gathered effectively.
The meeting is, of course, open to the public.
The preliminary Parks For All Plan will be posted on DCNR’s main State Parks webpage within 2 weeks.
DCNR is also updating the PA Outdoor Recreation Plan for 2020-2024 through a separate process.  The Outdoor Plan is a broader effort required as part of the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund requirements.  The last PA Outdoor Recreation Plan covered 2014-2019.
The meeting will be held at Bald Eagle State Park Office, 149 Main Park Road in  Howard, Centre County from 1:00 to 3:00.
For more information, visit  DCNR’s Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council webpage.  Questions should be directed to Gretchen Leslie by calling 717-772-9084 or sending email to: gleslie@pa.gov.
