URGENT! Volunteers Needed July 15 To Repair Meeks Run Trail Damaged By Flooding In Allegheny County

On July 12, the Hollow Oak Land Trust has put out an urgent call for volunteers to help repair the Meeks Run Trail in Montour Woods Conservation Area July 15 in Coraopolis, Allegheny County.
The flooding on July 11th wreaked havoc throughout the Pittsburgh area and Meeks Run joined the parade of flooded streams. Ten sections of boardwalk washed downstream and need to be put back into place to open the Meeks Run Trail.
Happily, most of the sections didn't travel far. With enough volunteers on Monday, we should be able to reopen the trail lickety split.
Please join Hollow Oak Land Trust July 15 for a couple hours of hard work followed by hot chicken sandwiches, cold beer and, of course, good friends!
Meet at the Hassam Road Trailhead, 1875 Hassam Road in Coraopolis at 5:30.  RSVP by sending email to: Jeff@hollowoak.org or call 412-264-5354.
Thanks for anything you can do to help!
